XHILA ROY TALKS ABOUT HIS MUSIC, #CRUSADE AND AGENT SASCO (ASSASSIN)

Following the release of his #Crusade song, Xhila Roy has received some plaudits and mentions on radio. Some on the other hand have criticised his new song as he directed shots at some names in the industry.
When he was asked about the motivation behind his CRUSADE song, this is what he said:

"The motivation is lyrics and the love for the game. Since i started doing music, I have gone solo on ALL my songs and write my own lyrics to the songs. From Reggae to Lovers Rock to Hip pop Fusion(RIP) and others, I have been able to prove my self as a complete artiste. Crusade is another side of my creativity proving how diverse my talent is. As for the reason  why i called names in the song i wont explain.

Some said i am insulting others in my song but what i know is Songs that "insults" cannot play on radio. My new song has the content that can play on any medium at anytime whether day or night" he said.

When he was quizzed on how he got Jamaica's Agent Sasco on his new song he said this;

"I link jamaica on a regular. Agent Sasco was formerly called #ASSASSIN in dancehall and was the first jamaican i ever interviewed on my radio show (Kingston Vibration) on FocusFM94.3 KNUST in kumasi. Once i have links to him anything is possible. He is not the only Jamaican i have interviewed because DEMARCO, KIPRICH, RICHIE SPICE and some others were once part of my show. When you hear any collaborative effort from Xhila Roy and a Jamaican dont be surprised because we link Jamaica on a regular"

He went further to disclose that he is working on a follow up to "Crusade" which is titled "SELFISH", set for release in February.

When asked if he will call names on his second song for  2017 he said

"This is Dancehall and any thing can happen. Follow me on @xhilaroymusic for updates on it.

Beatz Dakay Finally Speaks on Issue With Stonebwoy.

Honesty is the best policy.
It's quite unfortunate I have to put this out at this time because it's so appalling seeing fabricated stories about Stonebwoy and I circulating and painting the wrong picture of me in the process.
The fact is for the past years ,I have sacrificed a lot to produce, record, direct, mix and master songs for Stonebwoy without taking a penny until he became relevant in the music scene and hence arrangement was made to pay me 5%,not only for my exclusive productions but also as a backup artiste.
It was reported in flex news paper that I demanded for 20% of earnings and also I am frustrated because I am broke and my family is having a hard time which are all false.
I only started getting 5% of the earnings when Management of Burniton Music Group sat down to apportion that to me as my share of profits from my work for Stonebwoy and Burniton Music Group. And even with that I never knew the round figure we make, to calculate my 5% to know if I’m getting exactly what they think i deserve.
It is true i raised concerns in adjustment of my 5% after about three (3) years of my services but never mentioned 20%.
We discussed this together and Stonebwoy resorted to see his lawyer to bring in contract which was a great idea, but terms and conditions in the contract were not favourable and also due to the hasty nature of the process i didn't sign.
I knew I had not signed any contract yet,so i expected the previous agreement to still hold till we sign a new contract  but was dismayed by Stonebwoy going ahead to put the terms in the contract to work. I went to his residence to discuss with him the turn of events and as a result of his utterances I knew it didn't go down well with him. He later came to my studio with Blakk Cedi, who is his manager now, to have a meeting with me to discuss the issues at hand but that meeting ended with Stonebwoy vandalizing my studio where most of his works were recorded.
They came back after the damage to have another meeting with me with the aim of resolving issues and to apologize for his act.We came into new terms and by his words,I understood i can't talk to him anymore over anything relating to work because there is Blakk Cedi who is his official manager to talk to.
I want fans who are speculating about my travels to know that I paid for all my travel expenses, being it visa fees and plane tickets whenever i travel outside to work with/for Stonebwoy if the host could not afford my ticket.
As walls have ears I think the reporter who wrote the story making rounds in the media did not get his/her facts accurate.
Truth is,I mixed and mastered  “Enku Lenu” for a fee which was never the case before and it was produced by Awaga who has been my trainee/protege and still is,but I have allowed him to help Stonebwoy with his works in his newly built studio.
I have been sober on this, but lies can't be hidden from the public's eye, and the ugly misconceptions people have needs to be trashed.
I worked with Stonebwoy and the team for years and do not regret it. It has been a great learning process and I am much grateful to God for how far we have come.
I want Ghanaians and the rest of the world to know that my studio from its inception has been open for commercial use,and I am still very much open to work with any artiste who is ready to work with me.
Hence,my Record Label "TooEasy" which has been in existence before my BMG affiliation has been and is still dedicated to grooming artistes and music producers.
I therefore wish Burniton Music Group the best of luck in all their endeavors.

Confusion Hits Stonebwoy's Camp.

Reports from Flex Newspaper  reveals  there is a friction and misunderstanding between BET Award winner  Stonebwoy  and his producer Beatz Dakay over alleged money sharing.
“A source very close to the two individuals in this whole story who wants to remain anonymous has informed Flex newspaper that Beatz Dakay is really frustrated about this whole confusion because he has been let down by the artiste he has sacrificed for all this while. Below are some of the frustrating issues he told Flex newspaper about on phone last week.

“Beatz Dakay had earlier demanded for a percentage sharing of all gigs Stonebwoy will play because he does not charge him for the production. He demanded for 20% but Stonebwoy was only ready to give 5%. Again Stonebwoy has now set up his own studio in his house and instead of using his known producer Beatz Dakay for his works, he is rather using a young producer who goes by the name Awaga and was trained by Beatz Dakay. Meanwhile, Beatz Dakay set up the studio for Stonebwoy in his house but he has been ignored from using it.

After the first demand from Beatz Dakay, Stonebwoy got angry, went to Dakay`s studio and angrily broke some glasses in his studio which has left his studio not looking good. The source continued that Stonebwoy even threatened to come there again to do more if he continues to worry his peace with money. Beatz Dakay is also frustrated because at the moment, his wife is about to give birth or has given birth and there seems to be no money saved to take care of mother and baby. He has been busy with works from Stonebwoy to the extent that he has sacked most musicians with that attitude.

Further information also says that Stonebwoy left 100 Dollars when he visited Dakay and that according to our source, that ended the whole transaction between the two talents who are at each others throat now. When was the last time you saw Beatz Dakay backing Stonebwoy on a stage? our source said more than has been captured.

To present a balanced story and to confirm what is really happening, Flex newspaper called Beatz Dakay to explain what is really happening to him but he denied any of such allegations and even added that he was the brain behind the current song from Stonebwoy “Enkulenu) meanwhile guys following tweets from Stonebwoy have also confirmed the song mentions Awaaga as the producer.

Manager of Stonebwoy who goes by the name Black Cedi in an interview with Flex newspaper has also hinted that he is not ready to talk about this issue for now until further notice. Meanwhile, a post by one long time friend of Stonebwoy which was re-posted by Beatz Dakay but later deleted from his time line on Facebook sums the whole show up.
In the post, the Shatta Wan talked about someone sacking people who helped him to cook but now that the food is ready, he wants to eat alone. The story unfolds and Flex newspaper promises to bring you all the new developments”

Weak Female Dancehall Fraternity - Shegah

Magic Records newly signed female dancehall sensation Shegah has lamented that the Ghanaian female dancehall fraternity is very weak.

Talking to Dr Cann on Accra based radio Happy FM, the "Big It Up" crooner Shegah unveiled that unlike the male
and other foreign african female dancehall acts who are all over, Ghanaian female dancehall musicians are hardly known globally.

Shegah made mention of Nigeria's dancehall first lady Cynthia Morgan as an example that she  is known everywhere even though she is doing dancehall.

She again informed that, she among a few acts is ready to rekindle the energy in the  Ghanaian female dancehall fraternity and advised all other female reggae/dancehall artistes to join in too.

Godmother Shegah ended her interview by  reassuring her music fanatics that she is ready to feed all and sundry with good music as expected of her.
