The artiste took to instagram days ago to announce her split with the record label leaving most fans and entertainment pundits wondering what might have triggered this shocking revelation as she didn’t reveal any cause of the break up.
Speaking to Berla Mundi on GhOneTV, Kaakie said she broke up with JMJ’s Xtra Large Music as a result of bad contractual agreement that management is not ready to review. She continued by saying she was young and naïve when signing the contract and only gave it to a lawyer to read after the contact has been already signed.

“I was young and naïve when I signed to JMJ’s record label. I didn’t even involve a lawyer then, I only invited a lawyer to read my contract after I had signed the deal and that was one of the stupid mistakes I ever did as a musician” she said.
When asked what the details of the contract was, Kaakie revealed that she is supposed to release three albums under the record label but ended up releasing just an album. Asked if it was her fault for not recording or releasing the albums, she said she don’t have the right to record and release songs on her own per the contract she had and management is not ready to review her contract when she asked at some point and that is her reason for opting out.
“It may interest you to know I don’t even own a single song I have released so far. I feel like I have wasted six (6) years of my music career but I’m ready for a new beginning. Not even my Facebook or Twitter Accounts are mine. I heard last that my social media pages have been deleted but I promised my fans of my new pages by the end of this week” she ended.
Kaakie denied speculations that she is on her way to Zylofon Media but she could join them if the contract is favorable for her.
