Confusion Hits Stonebwoy's Camp.
Reports from Flex Newspaper reveals there is a friction and misunderstanding between BET Award winner Stonebwoy and his producer Beatz Dakay over alleged money sharing.
“A source very close to the two individuals in this whole story who wants to remain anonymous has informed Flex newspaper that Beatz Dakay is really frustrated about this whole confusion because he has been let down by the artiste he has sacrificed for all this while. Below are some of the frustrating issues he told Flex newspaper about on phone last week.
“Beatz Dakay had earlier demanded for a percentage sharing of all gigs Stonebwoy will play because he does not charge him for the production. He demanded for 20% but Stonebwoy was only ready to give 5%. Again Stonebwoy has now set up his own studio in his house and instead of using his known producer Beatz Dakay for his works, he is rather using a young producer who goes by the name Awaga and was trained by Beatz Dakay. Meanwhile, Beatz Dakay set up the studio for Stonebwoy in his house but he has been ignored from using it.
After the first demand from Beatz Dakay, Stonebwoy got angry, went to Dakay`s studio and angrily broke some glasses in his studio which has left his studio not looking good. The source continued that Stonebwoy even threatened to come there again to do more if he continues to worry his peace with money. Beatz Dakay is also frustrated because at the moment, his wife is about to give birth or has given birth and there seems to be no money saved to take care of mother and baby. He has been busy with works from Stonebwoy to the extent that he has sacked most musicians with that attitude.
Further information also says that Stonebwoy left 100 Dollars when he visited Dakay and that according to our source, that ended the whole transaction between the two talents who are at each others throat now. When was the last time you saw Beatz Dakay backing Stonebwoy on a stage? our source said more than has been captured.
To present a balanced story and to confirm what is really happening, Flex newspaper called Beatz Dakay to explain what is really happening to him but he denied any of such allegations and even added that he was the brain behind the current song from Stonebwoy “Enkulenu) meanwhile guys following tweets from Stonebwoy have also confirmed the song mentions Awaaga as the producer.
Manager of Stonebwoy who goes by the name Black Cedi in an interview with Flex newspaper has also hinted that he is not ready to talk about this issue for now until further notice. Meanwhile, a post by one long time friend of Stonebwoy which was re-posted by Beatz Dakay but later deleted from his time line on Facebook sums the whole show up.
In the post, the Shatta Wan talked about someone sacking people who helped him to cook but now that the food is ready, he wants to eat alone. The story unfolds and Flex newspaper promises to bring you all the new developments”

Weak Female Dancehall Fraternity - Shegah
Magic Records newly signed female dancehall sensation Shegah has lamented that the Ghanaian female dancehall fraternity is very weak.
Talking to Dr Cann on Accra based radio Happy FM, the "Big It Up" crooner Shegah unveiled that unlike the male
and other foreign african female dancehall acts who are all over, Ghanaian female dancehall musicians are hardly known globally.
Shegah made mention of Nigeria's dancehall first lady Cynthia Morgan as an example that she is known everywhere even though she is doing dancehall.
She again informed that, she among a few acts is ready to rekindle the energy in the Ghanaian female dancehall fraternity and advised all other female reggae/dancehall artistes to join in too.
Godmother Shegah ended her interview by reassuring her music fanatics that she is ready to feed all and sundry with good music as expected of her.

Sting Promoters Pulls Plug On 2016 Blames Vybz Kartel Absence From Dancehall.
Sting promoters have officially announced that
they have canceled the 2016 staging of the
concert. Vybz Kartel ‘s incarceration has a big
role to play in the demise of the show.
Supreme Promotions principals Isaiah Laing
and Heavy D sat down for an interview with
Winford Williams where they break down why
the show was axed this year. “Headline
artists… The last two three years the headline
acts just wasn’t there so there was no crowd
at Sting,” Heavy D said.
The promoter attribute that void in headline
acts to the absence of Vybz Kartel from
dancehall for the last five years. “Since Kartel
gone [prison] its sad but the headline move,
so we can’t get back that type of headline
right now,” he added. “You can have 50 artists
to work but if you don’t have two [hot artists]
the other 48 don’t count.”
Only a few days ago Ninja Man revealed that
there will be no Sting 2016 and that he is in
fear of his life due to his fallout with the head
of the music festival Isaiah Laing.
The promoters also revealed that some artists
shy away from the concert because they are
afraid of the audience. “It is known worldwide
that Sting is the hardest audience to please,
because from you put your first foot forward
and open your mouth you will get the boo or
give you the bottles,” Isaiah Laing said.
That statement we can all agree with because
Sting is known to be a tough audience and
usually made up of hardcore dancehall fans.
Despite canceling the show for this year, Laing
says that Sting will return for next year but
likely in a different format. The businessman
added that he will also be giving awards to
artists/entertainers who have supported Sting
over the years. Bounty Killer and Ninja Man
are two of the names put forward.
Sting has been Jamaica’s core dancehall
stage show for over 30 years with some of the
biggest names in dancehall performing on that
stage including Shabba Ranks, Super Cat,
Ninja Man, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Vybz
Kartel, and Mavado.
